About me...
I am currently a Junior at Kansas State University studying Secondary Education English Literature. I was born and raised in Salina, KS and have enjoyed every minute of it. I love my hometown in all its charm because it’s the only place that truly holds my heart and where I can escape and relax with my family.
A little background, I graduated from Ell-Saline Jr./Sr. High School in Brookville, KS. This tiny town is 15 minutes West of Salina. While in high school I was very involved in Forensics. I won various times at various meets and made it to State my senior year. I unfortunately didn’t qualify past quarter finals, nonetheless, I loved every minute of it and miss it dearly. Fast forward to present day, I am very happy with my decision to come to K-State because it has been a very eye-opening experience. In my three years here in beautiful Manhattan I have made many friends and met many acquaintances and colleagues who have intrigued me and shaped me into the insightful and inclusive person I am today.
I have loved immersing myself in the K-State atmosphere through various activities. The one that’s really keeping me busy right now is College of Education Ambassadors. I am the Event Coordinator Officer and am in charge of planning Open House. So far, everything is fantastic. On campus, I’m also a part of the Student Opportunity Award Committee which is a committee that oversees potential financial awards available to students. I’ve been a part of several other things on campus but cannot remember them all at the moment, the important thing is that I’m proud of my accomplishments.
One last thing, I am the eldest of three — I have a younger sister and younger brother in a family of five. My family are the most important thing to me right now. As I’ve gone through my college career I’ve come to realize that they will always be there with me through thick and thin to support me every step of the way. I love them immensely and cherish them greatly.
